Steel Magnolias

by Robert Harling

Directed by Chris Chambers, Assisted by Rosie Chambers

Synopsis

All the ladies who are ‘anybody’ in Chinquapin, Louisiana come to Truvy’s beauty salon to have their hair done, even when tragedy lurks and hope thrives. The title suggests the ‘female characters are as delicate as magnolias but tough as steel.’ Steel Magnolias is ultimately a moving tribute to the strength of women, the importance of community and the healing power of laughter.
