Life x 3

by Yasmina Reza

Synopsis

Henri and Sonia are putting their son to bed in their Paris apartment (and fighting over their childcare policy), when the doorbell rings, it is Henri’s boss, Hubert and his wife Ines, who have come to dinner. Unfortunately, Henri and Sonia thought they were coming on the following evening, and the kitchen cupboard is bare. The hosts supply a makeshift meal of snacks and Sancerre, and as the alcohol flows the conversation turns into dangerous territory. What might have been a mild social embarrassment turns into something darker, as the veneer of polite society cracks in this hilarious and sophisticated Parisian comedy of manners.
